It's in your head - and that's good!

Updated: Mar 26, 2019

The power to change one's life exists internally to the person. Whether the problem that is bothering you is chronic pain, depression, anxiety, or anger, the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been proven time and time again. To date, no other form of therapy for psychological problems has shown as much promise in creating lasting improvement in people's lives.

When used alongside medications - or instead of medications in the case of mild distress - talk therapy that focuses on one's internal thoughts and belief systems can make a truly transformative difference. Using mood and emotion as a measure, disruptive thoughts can be examined and their accuracy challenged while more adaptive thoughts and beliefs are developed.

When the solutions to problems lie outside us, then our access to those solutions makes the difference between a happy life and an unhappy one. But when the solution lies within, it is only our own willingness to challenge the way we thing that separates us from taking hold of our goals and dreams.
